Saying that it grieves him that he will "never see [her] and England again"; noting that he has "assigned over to [his] son all [his] property"; complaining about his son; stressing that he could return to England if he paid the "1500 [he] was condemned to" [pay the Yescombes following the verdict in their libel case], but he "would rather go and die in Siberia than break [his] word and resolution"; discussing visitors in Siena.
